Public Works Board

The Legislature created the Public Works Board (PWB) in partnership with local governments to assist in addressing infrastructure needs. They use a dedicated funding pool to offer low-interest financing in a revolving loan program. The Governor appoints 13 members to oversee the program. Since its founding, the board has awarded more than $3.1 billion in loans to over 2,000 projects and counting.
