Tourism
Tourism is the fourth largest industry in Washington State, employing more than 182,700 workers and generating $21.4 billion in annual spending.
Recognizing the importance of tourism to the state’s economy, the state legislature established the Tourism Marketing Authority (TMA) to create a framework for funding a statewide marketing plan using a combination of state and private funds as set forth in RCW 43.384 and for overseeing its execution.
