State Public Works Board offers free trainings on effective infrastructure system management
Regional trainings and town hall meetings in Silverdale, Pasco, Longview and Okanogan include panels on financing and building public infrastructure
OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington State Public Works Board will present four free trainings across the state in April and May. These full-day, interactive trainings mix concept presentation and group practice to guide participants through effective infrastructure system management. Continuing education (CEU) credits are available.
At the end of the course, participants will know how asset management and value planning work together to create projects that fit their communities. Representatives from multiple state and federal agencies will conduct a funding panel to discuss how they can help meet local infrastructure needs.
Additionally, the state’s infrastructure system improvement team, known as Sync, will hold town hall-style meetings the evening before each of the sessions. These two-hour meetings offer an opportunity to visit with Sync team leaders, learn about improvements coming soon, discuss challenges, share local perspectives and become part of the Sync process.
All training courses are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Evening meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m. To register, click the location links below or visit the PWB web page for more information.
