First meeting of Child Care Collaborative Task Force is Tuesday, July 10

The first meeting of the legislatively created Child Care Collaborative Task Force is Tuesday, July 10.  The task force, directed to examine the effects of child care affordability and accessibility on the workforce and on businesses, will meet at the Federal Way Community Center from 11 a.m – 3 p.m.  This meeting is open to the public. The Federal Way Community Center is located at 876 S 333rd St., Federal Way, WA 98003.

Two background reports have been shared with the task force members. Links to these reports are included below.

  • Child Care Aware of America: 2017 Report, Parents and the High Cost of Child Care – Outlines separately the costs of care for infants, toddlers, and school-aged children during the school year and during the summer months to better understand the impact on families, child development, and businesses.
