The Clean Buildings Performance Grants (CBPG) program offers competitive funding for privately and publicly owned buildings that are working towards compliance with the Clean Buildings Performance Standard (CBPS). CBPG grants for the 2025-2027 biennium will focus on reimbursing building owners for report related costs associated with coming into CBPS compliance, such as:
- Energy audits for privately owned Tier 1 buildings and Tier 2 multifamily covered buildings financed by the Washington State Housing Trust
- Energy benchmarking
- Developing an energy management plan (EMP)
- Developing an operations and maintenance program (O&M)
There is approximately $5 million available as part of the Clean Buildings Compliance Support Request for Applications, which is open through March 4, 2026.
