For 2025-2027, CRP is investing $3.2 million in reentry services that provide wraparound support before and after release.
Services include peer mentoring, housing navigation, violence prevention and culturally responsive career planning. Procurement will be state-led in partnership with the Washington Statewide Reentry Council, with proposals reviewed by local evaluation teams.
What grant funding will offer
- Pre-release Planning/Post Release Navigation: Housing, ID, healthcare enrollment, employment planning and benefit access—guided by individualized reentry plans
- Healing-Centered Practices: Restorative justice, family reunification and culturally grounded case management delivered by trusted community peers
- Employment and Training Access: Career pathways, licensing help and peer-supported pre-apprenticeships, with models billable under Medicaid (e.g. H0038)
Reentry grant timelines
A competitive funding opportunity for reentry services grants will be released in late fall 2025.
Currently, the program is recruiting for grant evaluators. This recruitment is specifically looking to ensure geographic diversity and representation in reentry’s evaluation committee. Please fill out an evaluator application form by Wednesday, October 29, 2025 if you are interested in applying.
Please note: You and/or a representative of your organization cannot serve on the evaluation committee and apply for funding.
