Contracting with Commerce

The Washington State Department of Commerce is accepting applications for funding for the acquisition and rapid conversion of multifamily properties for people experiencing homelessness. The funds are through Commerce’s Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition program. There is $26,722,356 available in funding. Applications are due to the Department of Commerce by 12 p.m. Pacific on Monday, June 15.

Grant funding is available to Eligible Multi-Family Housing Projects in the King and North Central Behavioral Health Regions for the purpose of by establishing project-based permanent supportive housing units dedicated for eligible AHAH program participants across the state of Washington

Commerce is making up to $400,000 available to contract with an organization interested in providing services to homeless youth and young adults (YYA ages 13-26 years) in the University District neighborhood of Seattle and working in partnership with the University of Washington to develop and host a sustainable and comprehensive navigation and resource center for YYA with lived or living experience of homelessness.

Up to $422,000 available to contract with a community-based organization(s) to support the involvement of young people and families, with lived experience of housing instability and/or systems involvement, in the inter-agency youth homelessness prevention work group.
