If you’re thinking about suicide, are worried about a friend or loved one, or would like emotional support, the 9-8-8 Lifeline Network is available.

The 9-8-8 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provide free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. Call or text the three-digit number 9-8-8 or visit their website to connect with a local crisis center.

• The Veterans’ Crisis Line is for Veterans in crisis or those concerned, dial 9-8-8 and press 1. Resources are also available online at the Veterans Crisis Line.
• The Native and Strong Lifeline is dedicated to serving American Indian and Alaska Native people, dial 9-8-8 and press 4. Resources are also available online at the Washington Indian Health Hub.

2-1-1  is a free, confidential community service and connection to the local services you need, from utility assistance, food, housing, health, child care, after school programs, elder care, crisis intervention and much more. Dial the three digit number 2-1-1 on your phone or search their online directory. If you are outside of Washington or have a problem dialing the number 2-1-1, please dial 1-877-211-9274

The Tribal Resource Tool is an online map and resource directory of diverse resources for American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) victims and survivors of crime and abuse.

The tool includes services for:

• all ages of American Indian/Alaskan Native survivors and victims
• all forms of victimization
• all locations (on or off reservations, in areas that are remote, rural, urban, or suburban)
• all needs of victims, including justice, safety, healing, and support

If you have been the victim of a physical injury or mental health trauma as the result of a gross misdemeanor or felony crime in Washington, you may be eligible to file a claim with Labor and Industries’ Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP).

CVCP may pay for medical/dental treatment, medication, health treatment, grief counseling, partial wage loss replacement, funeral expenses, expenses not covered by other insurance (such as medical co-pays and medical deductibles).
