Apply for the Federal Transit Administration – FY 2026 Notice of Funding Opportunity: Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Infrastructure Programs

• Who can apply: States, local government entities, and federally recognized Indian tribes.
• Qualifying projects: For the Low-No Program, projects include purchasing or leasing low- or zero-emission buses.
• Total funding amount: $589 million for the Low- or No-Emission Grant Program.
• Application due date: 11:59 p.m. Eastern time, September 21, 2026.

Apply for the Washington Department of Transportation — Washington Zero-Emission Incentive Program (WAZIP)

• Who can apply: Business, nonprofit, tribal nation or government entities that are based in Washington and have operated in Washington for at least one year. Check the website for other requirements.
• Qualifying projects: Point of sale discounts on medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles and equipment.
• Total funding amount: More than $112 million.
• Vouchers available: Fiscal year 25–27; check current funding availability.
