Commerce is updating WAC 365-230 to ensure alignment with federal regulations and programmatic changes. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring alignment with EPA regulation 40 CFR 745
- Restructuring and add new sections to distinguish LBPA and RRP requirements
- Clarifying and adding new definitions
- Revising and adding new enforcement options
- Updating certification fees
- Clarifying and revising certification and accreditation requirements

Commerce is holding two workshops to share updates to the Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) and Lead-Based Paint Activities (LBPA) programs. Members of the public are invited to attend and provide feedback.
