The Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) today announced a $50,000 grant to the City of Pateros targeting business growth and job creation in Okanogan County. The city will conduct a feasibility study to assess the potential for developing 16 acres of property for a business park and RV/camping facility.
CERB funds are matched by $24,000 in local funds.
“The Community Economic Revitalization Board is dedicated to helping communities across the state develop the infrastructure to attract retain and grow businesses and jobs,” said CERB Chair Allen Brecke. “These investments will have a positive economic impact at a time when it is needed the most.”
Since 1982, CERB has committed more than $168 million to local jurisdictions across the state, an investment generating more than 34,000 jobs.
CERB is focused on creating private sector jobs in partnership with local governments by financing infrastructure improvements. These improvements encourage new business development and expansion. In addition to funding construction projects, CERB provides limited funding for studies that evaluate high-priority economic development projects.
