Ongoing – CERB Prospective Development Program
Local governments and federally-recognized Indian tribes in rural counties and rural communities may apply for the Prospective Development (PD) program if an economic feasibility study has been conducted and demonstrates that private business development is likely to occur as a result of the public improvements.

Ongoing – Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund
This program provides low interest loans and limited grants to local governments, non-profits, tribes, ports, and private businesses undertaking clean-up and redevelopment of brownfield properties that are idle, underutilized or abandoned as a result of contamination. Typical Brownfields loans range around $500,000 or more, pending funding availability.

New Home Rehab Loan Program – Rural Low-Income Home Owners
This program will provide deferred loans up to $40,000 to rural, low-income households that need repairs and improvements on their primary residence for health, safety or durability. Homeowners earning up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level are eligible. Eligible improvements include rot removal, foundation/structural improvements, energy improvements, lead paint and asbestos work, improvements for handicapped persons, repair or replacement of major housing systems, emergency storm repairs, seismic retrofits

Washington state’s Landlord Mitigation Law (RCW 43.31.605) became effective on June 7, of 2018 to provide landlords with an incentive and added security to work with tenants receiving rental assistance. The program offers up to $1,000 to the landlord in reimbursement for some potentially required move-in upgrades, up to fourteen days’ rent loss and up to $5,000 in qualifying damages caused by a tenant during tenancy.

The Community Economic Revitalization Board is now providing low-interest loans and grants to local governments and federal recognized tribes to construct broadband infrastructure that will provide high-speed, open-access broadband service.
