Community-Based Reentry Program Support Grants Request for Proposals

The Washington State Department of Commerce, Office of Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention/Community Safety Unit (Commerce) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) soliciting applications from tribal partners or nonprofit community-based organizations. This program will support reentry services to currently or formally incarcerated people who are incarcerated or have exited juvenile or adult correctional facilities in Washington. Commerce is soliciting proposals from those qualified and interested in participating in projects

Legal Aid for Indigent Immigrants Request for Proposals

Commerce is requesting proposals for legal representation for indigent immigrants (defined by RCW 10.101.010). Examples of qualifying populations include those with income below 125 percent of the federal poverty level and those unable to pay anticipated costs of counsel. Public Works Board Funding Applications Open Now

The Washington State Public Works Board (PWB) will accept funding applications for infrastructure construction projects now through 11:59 p.m. PT, July 7, 2023. Applications for pre-construction and emergency construction projects will be accepted until all allocated funds are exhausted. Cities, towns, counties, special purpose districts, and quasi-municipal organizations may apply. Eligible infrastructure systems include streets and roads, bridges, domestic water, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and solid waste, recycling and organics. Approximately

Evergreen Manufacturing Growth Grants – Funding the development of regional cluster acceleration strategies and manufacturing growth

The Department of Commerce is currently reviewing applications. Submissions received after midnight on March 17th, 2023 will not be considered. The Evergreen Manufacturing Growth Grants program is designed to increase the number of manufacturing and research and development jobs in Washington State. The $2 million in grants will be awarded to eligible manufacturing and research and development businesses as well as organizations defined as innovation clusters in the funding application.

The Industrial Site Readiness grant is designed to enhancing large scale site development by providing funding for various site readiness services, which will boost the state’s portfolio of project-ready sites and attract new investment. Matching Funds

Matching grants available for federal broadband infrastructure financing opportunities

Important funding updates from the Washington State Broadband Office Matching Grant application changes There is approximately $ 25 million set-aside for Matching Grant applications. This is an “open cycle” on a first come, first serve basis, until funds are exhausted. There is a maximum $5 million dollar million or 25 percent of the federal grant amount sought, whichever is less. Eligible projects: eligible entities applying for federal broadband infrastructure funding.
