Reminder to affordable multifamily housing operators and developers: There is about $34 million available across two funding opportunities to preserve properties currently serving Washington communities.
Please download and carefully review the Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs) linked below for specific information regarding funding requirements and priorities, the application process, and significant dates.
- Housing Preservation NOFA (#MHU-2026-04): Available to current Housing Trust Fund contractors that want to make major building improvements, preserve existing units, and replace systems to maintain long-term property viability.
- Continuing Affordability NOFA (#MHU-2026-03): Available to any Washington affordable housing projects that are at risk of losing affordability.

Applications are due to the Department of Commerce by 12 p.m. Pacific time on Friday, April 17.
Award announcements are anticipated in June.
