Pasco Port Official appointed to Community Economic Revitalization Board

Commerce Director Brian Bonlender appoints Randy Hayden to serve a three-year term

OLYMPIA, WA – Department of Commerce Director Brian Bonlender today announced the appointment of Randy Hayden to the port representative position on the Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB).  Hayden currently serves as the deputy executive director at the Port of Pasco.

CERB is a 20-member state board focused on economic development and job growth through public infrastructure investments in partnership with local governments. The board meets every two months in Olympia to consider projects, responding quickly to emerging business growth opportunities. The Department of Commerce Local Government and Infrastructure Division administers CERB’s loan and grant programs.

“Randy’s strong record of community involvement and knowledge of economic development will be a great contribution to CERB’s mission of creating jobs and driving business growth” said Director Bonlender. “Voluntary participation on a state board like CERB is one of the highest forms of civic engagement and I commend Randy’s commitment.”

Hayden’s three-year term of appointment began on December 10, 2013 and continues through December 9, 2016.
