Interbay Advisory Committee Open House scheduled for March 19
First in a series of public open houses for project to study redevelopment of Washington National Guard Armory site in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood
OLYMPIA, Wash. — The Washington Department of Commerce Interbay Public Development Advisory Committee will hold an open house from 6 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 at the Ballard VFW Hall, 2812 NW Market St, Seattle, WA 98107.
Launched in September 2018, the project is studying possible reuses for the current site of the Washington National Guard Armory in Seattle. Commerce is charged with convening the advisory committee in collaboration with the Military Department to explore the potential uses of the state-owned property in Seattle’s Ballard-Interbay manufacturing industrial center should resources be made available in the future to allow the Guard to relocate to a different site.
The committee will make recommendations regarding the highest public benefit and future economic development uses for the Interbay site, and will make resource recommendations to assist the Washington National Guard in its possible relocation.
