Affordable housing developers: Submit your application before noon on Thursday, Oct. 16
Applications for multifamily rental housing projects seeking capital financing from the Washington State Housing Trust Fund (HTF) and the federal HOME and National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) programs close on Thursday, Oct. 2 16, at 12 p.m. Pacific time.
Applications will respond to the following funding opportunities:
- HTF Multifamily Housing NOFA #MHU-2025-01, for multifamily rental affordable housing projects seeking capital funding from the state Housing Trust Fund (HTF), Apple Health and Homes (AHAH), and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs.
- HOME and NHTF NOFA #MHU-2025-02, for multifamily rental affordable housing projects seeking capital funding from the federal HOME and National Housing Trust Fund programs to further the goals articulated in Washington state’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan (CONPLAN).
There is a total of $212.4 million available for the two awards.
The Technical Assistance and application waiver period closed on Oct. 2. The application team is no longer accepting questions and waivers.

These applications will be reviewed by a team of technical experts, who expect to release a list of applicants on October 30, with final funding decisions made in January 2025.The application team will only accept applications submitted to HTFApp@commerce.wa.gov.
