The Electrification of Transportation Systems program will soon be issuing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFA).
The Solar Deployment program will be reopening for applications in early fall.
Commerce will be issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Greenhouse Gases Emissions Reduction Program.
More information, as well as the RFP, will be available on our website at Greenhouse Gases Reduction Program (GHG) starting July 8, 2019.
The Washington State Legislature created the GHG Program in SSB 6090, Chapter 2, Laws of 2018 (Section 1013 (10)) and refined the project in SHB 1102, Chapter 413, Laws of 2019 (Section 6006(10)) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Its primary goals are to:
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions of 750,000 tons per year when the project is completed.
- Increase energy efficiency.
- Protect or create aluminum manufacturing job in Whatcom County.
