HTF Repair Fund eligibility extended

Claims from July 1, 2025-Jan. 25, 2026, must be submitted by Feb. 27

Commerce extended eligibility for the HTF Repair Fund to costs incurred as far back as July 1, 2025. Eligible work at eligible properties completed from July 1, 2025, through January 25, 2026, must be submitted by February 27, 2026, to be considered for review and possible award.

All other award requests must be submitted within 30 days of the date eligible repair work was completed and paid (payment date) or completed and invoiced (invoice date). Eligible properties can receive up to $200,000 per award for urgent, non-recurring repairs of units or buildings, abatement of potentially hazardous materials, and safety-related structural improvements.

The Repair Fund will remain open as long as funding is available. Funding was initially distributed on a 10-region format and funding remains available in all regions except King County.

See more details in our updated program guidelines. Eligible properties are encouraged to apply. Funding may be reallocated among regions at a future date depending on the rate of approved claims.

How to apply to the HTF Repair Fund

  1. Create a SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account if you don’t have one already – learn how on our website
  2. Submit a statewide payee registration form if you haven’t already on the Office of Financial Management website
  3. Log in to your SAW account
  4. Input ‘HTF repair fund’ in the search bar, and select ‘add to list of services’
  5. Enter the HTF Repair Fund portal and follow the directions there

Applications will be received and reviewed on an ongoing basis as long as funding remains available. Program staff will review applications received to determine regional funding distribution for the first seven days and will begin processing claims for payment at the end of that period. Claims will be processed in the order received and according to regional fund distribution. In regions where claims received exceed available funding, the Repair Fund will prioritize Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) properties for funding.
