HTF Contractors: Attend a Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition listening session to share your experience

Commerce will host virtual listening sessions on February 17 and 19

The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking feedback at two listening sessions to inform its Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition Notice of Funding Availability with the intent of ensuring the funds benefit affordable multifamily housing residents. The Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition program funds property acquisition for rapid conversion for people experiencing homelessness.

The listening sessions are for affordable housing developers and HTF contractors who have accessed or plan to access Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition funds.

Listening session details

Sessions will be recorded. After reviewing for accuracy, we will publish a transcript of each session, and we’ll share feedback on our website.

Commerce can provide live translation services upon request. Please email Analilia Núñez at Analilia.Nunez@Commerce.wa.gov by 12 p.m. on Feb. 10 to give us time to arrange these services.

Your input matters!

Your input at these sessions will mean a stronger, more authentic effort for Washington residents.

We invite attendees to share experiences and feedback, such as:

  • What should the state be most transparent about when releasing funding notices?
  • What types of projects should the state prioritize when awarding rapid capital funding?
  • How should the state balance funding between size and type?
  • Where do you think this type of funding could make the biggest difference right now?
  • Do you have thoughts on per-project funding caps?
  • Do you perceive barriers to using awarded funds?
