The Washington State Department of Commerce is the Collaborative Applicant for the Washington Balance of State Continuum of Care (BoS CoC). The goal of the BoS CoC is to promote a community-wide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness in the 34 small and medium-sized counties in WA State. Our collaborators receive about $25 million through the annual HUD CoC competition.
Join our CoC
Any representatives of nonprofit homeless providers, victim service providers, faith-based organizations, Tribes and Tribally Designated Entities (TDHEs), governments, businesses, advocates, public housing agencies, school districts, social service providers, mental health agencies, hospitals, universities, affordable housing developers, law enforcement, organizations that serve homeless and formerly homeless veterans, and homeless and formerly homeless persons within our geographic region are welcome to join our CoC.
2026 CoC competition
Every year, HUD releases the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the CoC program. As the Collaborative Applicant, it is the role of the Washington State Department of Commerce to submit an application to HUD on behalf of the BoS CoC.
