The Washington State Developmental Disabilities Council (DDC) is accepting proposals for the Legislative Engagement, Information and Tools program.
This two-year project provides $120,000 per year, with the option to renew each year through September 2031. The goal of the program is to help people with developmental disabilities and their families have a stronger voice in public policy, protect their rights, improve fair access to services and support culturally responsive, community-driven systems.
Pre-proposal conference
A pre-proposal conference will be held on June 8, 2026 at 11a.m. PT. The pre-proposal conference will be virtual only on Zoom. All prospective Proposers are encouraged attend; however, attendance is not mandatory.
Applying for a grant through WEBs
We strongly encourage potential applicants to register for a WEBs account, which is Washington State’s Solicitation Management System. Applicants should use WEBs when preparing and submitting proposals.
More about the DDC
The DDC is mandated as a voice within state government for individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) and their families to receive the supports and other assistance needed to achieve independence, productivity, integration and inclusion into the community. The DDC engages in and supports advocacy capacity building and systemic change activities that contribute to a coordinated consumer-and family-centered, consumer and family-directed comprehensive system. It includes community services, individualized supports and other forms of assistance that promote self-determination for individuals with DD and their families.
