Our mighty Washington state delegation of 14 companies, 11 economic development organizations, ports, education and workforce training schools, Aerospace Futures Alliance and Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance hit the ground running again today. Floor traffic at our Choose Washington booth is strong, and business is buzzing. Highlights of our second full day include a group procurement meeting with Bombardier, meetings with companies from Northern Ireland and another group meeting with Italy’s Leonardo Aerostructures. We closed the day with a great networking reception at the booth. Thanks to Delta for donating today’s raffle prize! Follow us on social media @WAStateCommerce @AerospaceFuture #FIA18
Day 1: Farnborough delegation logs first order of air show
Thanks to a prime booth location in the brand new Hall 1, our Choose Washington delegation reports a very exciting first day at the big Farnborough International Air Show. In addition to heavy foot traffic throughout the day, companies were busy meeting with clients and potential partners. Bill Bigot, vice president of business development for AIT/Nova –Tech, said “We are here because our customers are here…we already received one order today as a result of coming to the show.”
AIT/Nova-Tech booked the first order of the show in the Choose Washington delegation. The Commerce team reports that companies participating in pre-arranged group procurement meetings with several large European buyers found those contacts “very productive.”
