The Community Reinvestment Program (CRP) is expanding to support agriculture in historically marginalized communities. CRP is working with communities of color and tribal nations who have direct experience with farming and helping communities access the food they need.
For the next year, CRP focused on building relationships, learning from existing programs and listening to impacted communities. These efforts will help understand local needs and guide future investments in Washington’s food and land systems.

Food and Land Systems Request for Information
This summer, CRP is launching statewide Food and Land Systems Request for Information (RFI). The RFI will help us learn more about community-based agricultural work already happening in Washington, what’s currently working and where additional support is needed.
Community survey
This July, CRP launched its Agricultural Community Input Survey to gather information about access needs and community priorities. We want to hear from people with experience in:
- Farming
- Land or food access programs
- Efforts that help communities grow and access the food they need
Your feedback will help shape the future of CRP agricultural programs. Priority will be given to feedback from Black, Latine, Native American, Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.
Tribal Roundtables
In Fall 2026, CRP will hold Tribal Roundtables to honor the long-standing agricultural knowledge of tribal nations. These conversations will help determine how CRP funding can best align with the needs of tribal nations and communities.
Dates for CRP’s Tribal Roundtables will be finalized after survey results are reviewed.
