The Washington State Department of Commerce operates the Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition program, which funds property acquisition for rapid conversion for people experiencing homelessness.
Following housing developer feedback in listening sessions last month, our team developed a draft Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA), for which we would like your feedback. This allows us to better communicate new funding opportunities, with details such as application requirements, timelines, and factors for review.
Who can provide feedback?
We are seeking feedback from eligible entities, such as affordable multifamily housing developers who currently contract with Commerce, and those who hope to contract in the future.
How can I review and submit feedback?
First, review the draft Rapid Capital Housing Acquisition NOFA (#MHU-2026-05) on Box.
Email feedback: HTFApp@commerce.wa.gov. Comments are due by 5 p.m. March 19.
Join our online Rapid Capital NOFA Overview meeting: Register online for the Rapid Capital NOFA Overview, at 1 p.m. Pacific Time on March 24.
We will review and incorporate feedback, and release the final NOFA on April 14.
