The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking feedback from housing preservation and continuing affordability developers about upcoming draft Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs).
This feedback opportunity follows housing developer feedback sessions in January. The review of draft NOFAs allows us to better communicate new funding opportunities, such as application requirements, timelines and factors for review. Participation in previous feedback sessions is not required.
Commerce operates the Housing Preservation Program to preserve units within the Housing Trust Fund (HTF) portfolio, and the Continuing Affordability program to maintain project affordability to support these developers.
Who can provide feedback?
We are seeking feedback from those who are eligible for these funding opportunities. This includes:
- Housing Preservation: Current Housing Trust Fund contractors that want to make major building improvements, preserve existing units, and replace systems to maintain long-term property viability.
- Continuing Affordability: Affordable housing projects that are at risk of losing affordability.
How can I review and submit feedback?
We are sharing draft NOFAs so those in the affordable housing community can review its details and provide feedback.
