Affordable Housing Development Project Information Survey 2025-2026 is live

Every two years, the Washington State Department of Commerce seeks input from community nonprofit organizations, local governments, housing authorities, and tribes (‘applicants’) that intend to apply for awards to acquire, construct, or rehabilitate multifamily or homeownership affordable housing projects.

Commerce and Washington policymakers want to understand the level of interest and readiness from those who intend to apply for funding so we can best coordinate the funding availability of the state, as well as coordinating with our public funding partners.

What do you need to do?

If you intend to apply for multifamily or homeownership affordable housing development funding from the Department of Commerce in 2025 or 2026, please take the survey by May 7 at 5 p.m.

Once reviewed, survey results will be posted to Commerce’s housing webpage.

Note that if applicants intend to apply for multiple projects, they must take the pre-application survey multiple times. Applicants may submit a survey for projects which they have previously applied for and/or have not been awarded.

Submitting this survey is not a prerequisite to apply to any future funding rounds.
