Energy Emergencies & Security

Our program makes sure energy shortages are controlled to reduce impacts on the health and safety of citizens, businesses and the economy of the state. We partner with other state agencies and energy companies to identify and protect energy infrastructure that is critical to our state.
 
Highlights/Activities
  • We created and started using a web based geodata tool for tracking power outages and restoration.  It's called the Washington State Energy Supply Disruption Tracking System.
  • The Sector Specific Plan for Critical Energy Infrastructure was published by the Washington State Energy Coordinating Council.
