Petroleum
Refined petroleum products (gasoline, kerosene, fuel and oil) are delivered through pipeline systems.  Washington has five petroleum refineries, making the state an exporter of refined petroleum products. These refineries receive the vast majority of their input crude oil by tanker or barge from Alaska, with a small amount coming from Canada. A small amount of products are non-energy products, such as asphalt, lubricants and chemical feedstocks, but most are the familiar such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, marine fuels and heating oil. They are delivered to airports, marine terminals and filling stations through a combination of the pipeline systems, barges and trucks. Gasoline and diesel fuel make up more than two-thirds of the refinery output, and are used by cars and trucks using the state’s roadways.
