How to Qualify
To qualify, households must earn 60 percent or less of the state median income (SMI) or 200 percent of the federal poverty guideline (FPG), whichever is greater -- priority services will go to those with incomes not exceeding 125 percent of FPG. The HRRP is following the income eligibility guidelines for the Washington State Energy Assistance Program/Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The guidelines are outlined in the Managing the Low-Income Weatherization Program manual.
What Kind of Home is Eligible?
Single-family, owner-occupied, site-built or manufactured homes are eligible under the program. The Department of Commerce subcontracts with community action agencies and housing authority providers throughout the state to administer the program at the local level.
