Commerce contracts with Community Action Agencies to provide services under Public Law 105-285, October 27, 1998. Commerce monitors agencies to ensure that terms and conditions, standards and rules are followed and outcomes achieved meet the intent of the block grant. Commerce prepares a state plan for CSBG every two years and an annual report of outcomes. In addition, Commerce contracts with the Washington State Community Action Partnership to provide training, technical assistance and coordination for the network of CAA in the state.
