, and
e-mail us
if you have any comments or questions on or before June 4th, when the public comment period ends. We will post more details here as they are

Results and Achievements
From January through December 2007, the network served 536,000 people in 227,000 households. In addition to supporting major Commerce housing, food, and energy programs, CSBG filled gaps in local services and raises the bar for innovative solutions to social/economic issues. In 2008:
· 2,931 people gained employment
· 35,500 people improved their self sufficiency
· 1.3 million volunteer hours were logged
Performance Measures
Statewide, 45,000 people will improve their self-sufficiency as a result of Community Action Agency (CAAs) services funded by CSBG.
Services
CAAs prioritize services according to local needs. Services include housing, energy assistance, nutrition, employment and training as well as transportation, family development, health care, emergency food and shelter and asset development. CAAs are charged with bringing all sectors together to strengthen community well being. In 2007, CAAs partnered with 2,430 other organizations to expand resources and opportunities.
