WHAT WE DO:

The Local Government Fiscal Note (LGFN) program produces objective estimates of the financial impacts of proposed state legislation on counties, cities and almost all special purpose districts.  Click here for a program fact sheet.  Our team of experienced fiscal analysts researches almost any legislative issue that could change local government revenues or expenditures.  We produce far and away the largest number of fiscal notes of any state agency.  This is the program’s 32nd year of operations (Chapter 43.132 RCW).

The staff of the Local government Fiscal Note Program provides a wide range of contracted research services.
