The Operations Unit consists of the Operations Manager, Facilities and Safety Coordinator, Telecommunication Coordinator, the mailroom and the Commute Trip Reduction program. 

     a. Our Facilities and Safety manager (Jim Hazzard, 360-725-2672, JimH@cted.wa.gov) coordinates lease activities and renewals, and serves as the liaison between the agency and property owners/managers.  He resolves issues with janitorial contractors, indoor air quality, and safety concerns. Additionally, he is responsible for:

• Space management and move coordination
• Construction and remodeling projects
• Communicating and coordinating with staff on facility activities such as fire alarm and sprinkler system testing and emergency/evacuation drills
• Manages parking
• Conducts safety inspections of agency facilities, equipment, and activities
• Oversees agency safety programs and emergency evacuation preparation and drills

     b. Our Telecommunication coordinator (Jerry Ferrante, 360-725-2716, JerryF@cted.wa.gov) responds to all phone-related questions, including:

• Wireless communication
• Liaison with state agencies, public vendors, and CTED employees for service and equipment.
