Emergency/ Risk Management Chuck Hunter, Emergency/Risk Manager360-725-2674ChuckH@cted.wa.gov
Emergency/risk management provides support to CTED employees during emergency events; identifies, assesses and manages risk through enterprise-wide programs and works with other state and local agencies to provide assistance to citizens in need after a disaster strikes.
We staff the agency safety committee and assist with emergency training for CTED employees.
We monitor and limit risk by gathering information, analyzing the information and applying best practices to problems. We are actively engaged in assessing risk management strategies for alignment with strategic business objectives in compliance with operational and legal changes.
All significant events, financial or operational losses, emergency operational plans are reviewed annually and we prepare recommendations or corrective action plans for prevention.
CTED staff are active participants on the Governor’s Security Group, at the State Emergency Center and on the Governor’s Disaster Recovery Task Force. Although most of the funds allocated to CTED are based on applications and contracts with 3rd parties, CTED staff are continually looking for ways that CTED can help the citizens of the State when an emergency occurs.
