Prescription opiates are being abused at an alarming rate. This seminar addressed the phenomenon from the health care provider’s perspective and offered the public an opportunity for education and an informed discussion on the scope of the problem, prevention techniques, treatment options, and a view of the issue from the perspective of law enforcement.
