Department of Energy Ranks Washington State 9^th in ARRA Weatherization Production

A new Department of Energy report on Recovery Act weatherization production ranks Washington State 9^th nationwide for total production and percentage of overall goal already completed.

A total of $59.5 million in 2009 ARRA funding will help weatherize an estimated 7,000 homes statewide and create hundreds of jobs through June of 2011. The Department of Commerce’s 25 local weatherization partners are committed to job creation and retention while easing low-income household heating bills through sound weatherization measures.
