Weatherization Work Group

Twenty-six agencies in Washington provide weatherization to income-qualified households. The state is divided into four regions. Every two years, each region elects regional and statewide program experts to represent them on the Weatherization Work Group.

The Weatherization Work Group serves as an advisory body to the Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development (CTED) in partnership with the Washington State Association of Community Action Agencies. The Work Group provides leadership and works with the CTED to provide direction for weatherization and housing preservation programs.

To achieve the Work Group’s purpose, Work Group members:

  • Anticipate and create changes that improve and advance weatherization and housing preservation programs.
  • Share information on housing and resource conservation opportunities.
  • Advise CTED in policy, procedure and technical specification development.
  • Advocate for weatherization and housing preservation programs.
