Annual Point in Time Count

The Point in Time Count was Thursday, January 24, 2013.

For all agencies using HMIS to enter data, all data must be entered by Wednesday, March 6, 2013.

The Homelessness Housing and Assistance Act (ESSHB 2163 - 2005) requires each county to conduct an annual point in time count of sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons in Washington State (See RCW 43.185C.030) in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).   

The Department of Commerce provides survey forms for counties and agencies to use for their counts. Counties can opt to use their own forms to conduct their homeless count, as long as the count is in compliance with the state guidelines linked below.
