Low-Cost Broadband Programs
For many households without broadband service, it is the cost of the service or the cost of a computer that keeps them off line.
Two providers in Washington State have low-cost broadband programs for low-income individuals and families.
In general terms, both programs share these features:
Participants must live in the service area of the provider
The monthly cost of service is low
Program participants have the option to buy a computer at a reduced price
Participants qualify for the programs based on income and participation in certain federal programs
